What is a Playmaker?

Since 1958, Page Playmakers has been the theatrical organization associated with Page High School. In a typical season, Playmakers presents three main-stage performances; Fall Cabaret, a Winter Drama, and a Spring Musical. These performances are supported by a parent led fine arts booster program. Page Playmakers exists as a 501c3 and all donations and ticket sales benefit the continued work of Playmakers in the school and local community. Students are brought in as an official Playmakers their first year joining the club through a top secret ceremony lead by upper class-men. This ceremony is for actors and tech students alike. While the actors are the people we see on stage our vibrant tech crew works long hours building set, running lights, painting backdrops, locating costumes, and building props. With these students a production could not happen. Students also serve on leadership for each show in the role of stage manager and assistant director.
Playmaker Pledge

I will give all my effort in my time on stage and backstage to acting my role to the best of my ability. Along the way I will be aware that my hour upon the stage might be fleeting, but the impression I make in front of the curtain and behind the curtain has a lasting influence on those who will come after me. To that end I will work hard, have fun, support my fellow playmakers through keeping the drama on the stage as we work together to reach the goal of another outstanding performance.
